Ok. So the surgery was a success, the used a tendon from my hamstring, folded it into 4 and used a button type device to hold it in place on the top. The bottom part of the ACL is held in place with staples.(to be removed after 12months if I want). They drilled holes in the bone to thread the homemade-hamstring-acl through.
Very little pain suprisingly!
Had my first rehab session today, wanted to do more but doc said leave it to him! He will get me ready for being able to return to karate while I teach him english!
Now onto the not so good news.
I have been running an average 38-39 degree fever fot the past 4 days. Apparrently 3 days is normal to run a fever so not too fussed there...
...I haven't had a full nights sleep, just the occassional hour or two here and there...
...I have almost no appetite, and no caffine or protein in Japanese hospital food makes keeping energy levels up difficult...
...and the suckiest part, I have some kind of infection in my lower back above my butt that has hardened and is extruciatingly painfull!! If not for this infection I would acually feel somewhat human!! (and I can't let my lower back connect with anything, so sitting is painfull)
